Chililabombwe marked Zambia’s Independence Day with parades, traditional dances, and live broadcasts from the Konkola Radio outside broadcasting unit.
Chililabombwe came alive with vibrant green, red, black, and orange colors as residents from Kakoso, Lubengele, and surrounding mining townships joined together to celebrate Zambia’s 62nd Independence Day.
Konkola Radio’s mobile broadcast van was stationed live at the civic grounds, airing heartfelt reflections from freedom fighters, local traditional authorities, and youth innovators who spoke on economic empowerment and patriotism.
The festivities concluded with acoustic Kalindula live performances broadcast across the Copperbelt airwaves.
